DOTJobHistory now on the advisory board of the National Association of DOT Medical Examiners

August 15, 2005: The National Association of DOT Medical Examiners (www.NADME.org) is a not for profit association with the stated goal to "promote and help ensure the safety and health of truck and motorcoach drivers through the training and certification we provide to the medical examiners who are authorized by the federal Department of Transportation to perform the physical examinations of truck and motorcoach drivers. "

It should be noted that on August 10, 2005, President Bush signed legislation requiring national registry of medical examiners who conduct commercial driver physicals.

This is something the industry will be hearing more about as time goes on.
