Employers: Only DOTJobHistory Reports you receive directly from DOTJobHistory are Certified.

Employers: When evaluating a driver applicant using DOTJobHistory reports, make sure you know the source of the reports. If the individual mailed, faxed, emailed or simply handed you paper copies, the information is not certified as it would be if you went directly to DOTJobHistory using an access code provided by the driver.

While drivers that register for DOTJobHistory are generally a “cut above,” we did have a registrant print out his information, do some trimming on his MVR and Infraction/Misdemeanor and Felony database scan, and then present it to a potential employer.

Prior to advancing to the next step, verify the source of the information.

There is one exception to DOTJobHistory information being certified. Drivers that register with DOTJobHistory are able to take advantage of our “Digital Vault”™ where they can store other information of interest to them and to prospective employers in their own secure “Digital Safe Deposit Box”™ These documents range from accident reports, National Driver Register (NDR) reports, DAC reports, diplomas, police reports, arbitration rulings and military discharge papers. Drivers have the option of allowing you to view these reports. If the reports have gone through the driver, they will be labeled “User Supplied.” If the reports have come to DOTJobHistory directly from the source (e.g., the court or National Driver Register) the reports will be marked as certified.
