Privacy Statement Summary

DOTJobHistory.com has a very simple privacy policy:
Information is only collected with a driver's express consent, and it is only given out with the driver's express consent. In between, information stays safe and secure in our database, and is not accessible or available to anyone without the driver’s permission.

Information collected by DOTJobHistory.com falls into two categories. First, there is the personal information needed for an account to be opened and work performed, including items such as name, address, e-mail address, and credit card number. The second type of information is that needed to fulfill our services. This includes details concerning past employment, driving and criminal records and other credentials. It also requires identification information such as social security number, date of birth and drivers licenses. Without identity information, DOTJobHistory.com cannot fulfill its tasks. Finally, DOTJobHistory.com will collect contact information such as a phone number and address. This may be necessary from time to time to contact a driver to clarify information, or to request a release be sent to a government agency or employer to obtain release of the information.

Furthermore, DOTJobHistory.com operates in accordance with the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq.

We gather information about a person's past employment, driving record and other credentials only if the person grants permission for us to do so. We only make the information available to third parties in two circumstances:

1. A user has given out access to a third party, such as an employer, landlord or financial institution to review certain information contained on DOTJobHistory.com;
2. A user has provided consent under the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act for release of information with a third party such as an employer, staffing agency, recruiter, financial institution, landlord or some other party or entity AND that third party either directly or through a third party credentials verification firm (such as a background firm or tenant screening firm) or other authorized agent, utilizes access to DOTJobHistory.com data to obtain verified information about a user's employment, driving or other credentials. In either case, the information is only released because you, the consumer, have requested in a written and signed release that such information be forwarded to a party that you wish to have the information. The only exception to this rule is if DOTJobHistory.com were compelled by a court order to release information.
   

Email Address Privacy

DOTJobHistory believes spam and unsolicited emails are a scourge. We will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise provide any email address you provide us to any other entity for any reason. Further (and here’s where the print sometimes gets small) WE will not send information to your email address unless we deem it important, and were we in your shoes, we would appreciate the receipt.
